Note: Dropbox no longer supports public folders on new accounts that are free. If you create a new Dropbox account, you will not be able to use the features described below, which only apply to free accounts created before October 4, 2012, Dropbox Pro accounts, and Dropbox Business accounts. See https://www.dropbox.com/help/16 for more information.
You can download files from your Dropbox account using Live Data (BrightAuthor 2.4 or later) or download files using Simple File Networking.
In order to use a Dropbox account, you need to get the public link for any files you want to download. To do this, follow these steps:
Note: If you don't have a public folder, click on this link to enable the public folder feature on your account.
- Create a BrightSign folder inside the Public directory in your Dropbox folder.
- Publish or copy files to the BrightSign folder inside the Public directory.
- Right-Click on a file inside your BrightSign folder, select Dropbox, and choose "Copy Public Link"
