How do I reboot a local player via Diagnostic Web Server (DWS)?

Last updated: June 5, 2018

If the Diagnostic Web Server is enabled on your player, you can instruct it to reboot from a computer on the local network.

Not on the same local network or don't have the DWS enabled?  See other ways to remotely reboot the player in How do I remotely reboot or restart my player?

Note: If you have not configured a different password for the Diagnostic Web Server, the default password is the player's serial number in UPPERCASE.

Step by Step

  1. Open your web browser and go to http://IPaddressOFplayer/index.html
Replace IPaddressOFplayer with the player's IP address.
Don't know the player's IP address?  Power it up without storage and it should be on the information screen displayed.
  2. Click the Control tab
  3. Click the Reboot button
  4. The player will restart.
