What is the best way to display a production schedule?

I would like to create a video board that can display a production schedule (think like a plane schedule)

  • currently these are in excel or access, shared, and multiple people edit 10-15 times a day.
  • the schedulers would need to still be able to make changes and have the changes auto-sync to the video board.
  • only one person has access to brightauthor (me!)

Is anyone doing this?  I cannot find a good way to do this.  Everything I am coming up with is too manual, starting to look at other solutions.

In the past we’ve integrated a web based calendar with BrightSign.
The calendar web app would run on a cloud service.

Yes, this is going to be a custom solution. I have done something similar as an events calendar for a client. Data changes daily, custom script checks data and creates updated PNG images that are feed to players via Media RSS.

Several different ways to do this, but mainly solution will be something custom made tailered to your needs.

I responded last week, but it is still "Pending approval" for some reason, so I am going to try responding again:

I made one using onedrive/sharpoint online with excel as a first round and it seems to work.  Anyone else have any other refined ways of doing this?
