Barcode Scanner doesnt work right.

Hey there,

I have a question.

I am trying to start videos with different Barcodes.

Im using a USB- Barcode scanner with a Brightsign HD1022.

The Barcode Scanner works fine with my Windows PC and puts out the

correspondig Code to every Barcode.

i copied that Code to an USB-Input in Bright Author to trigger a Video.

Unfortunately that doesnt work on the 1022.

BUT:

If i use one of the Numbers in the Code and use it as a Keyboard-Input

in Bright Author it triggers the Video.

So it doesn`t seems to be a driver problem.

But this way i can only use one Barcode to trigger one Video....

 

Any Ideas why it`s not Working as a USB-Input?

  Is the barcode reader programmed to send a carriage return on the end of the string?

  hello i am having the same issue. how did you manage to add the return carriage on the end of the barcode thats being scanned.
