802.1X EAP user credential

 Dear BrightSign,

 

we are trying to use 802.1X EAP PWR to connect to the wifi router, but we can not find the way to input the user credential, do you have any method to help us to solve the problem ?

  You first need to set up the player. Using BrightAuthor, go to the Tools menu, and select Setup BrightSign Unit

   

  

   

  Look for the Network Properties to set the WIFI credentials

  

   

  There are other ways also, depends on the firmware version and model that you are using

  Thx, we need to use 802.1X, it should have SSID, user name and password.

  But in the WIFI setting only have SSID and security key. no way to input user name

  Hi Kurt,

  BA does not currently support this but it's possible to add the necessary modifications to the setupcommon.brs file to allow the player to be configured for this protocol.

  Please create a setup card  with wifi enabled with all the necessary parameters then send over the generated files as a zip file. For privacy reason, you may want to submit a ticket with that file.
