Hello,
I'm wondering if there are plans for a brightsign player(HD/XD) to support 1920x1200 resolution.
If yes, is it planned for the near future?
Thanks in advance,
Arik

XD already supports 1920x1200 output resolution, but if you're referring to 1920x1200 resolution media, that resolution cannot be supported on those platforms. 1920x1080 resolution media decoding is the limit of the hardware.
Hi
Does the new XD-233\HD223 models support 1920x1200 25/50fps?
is there a brightsign model (any) that supports this resolution?
thx
Rami
XD3, XT3 and 4K models can play 1920x1200 videos.
HD3 and LS3 can't.
thx
in 25\50p ?
Yes, up to 60fps.
in BrightAuthor ver 4.6.0.18 when i choose XD-233 the only option available for 1920x1200 is 60p...
is there a work around?
are you sure it supports 1920x1200 25p?
thx
Player can output only at 1920x1200x60p resolution, but you can add 1920x1200 videos with different frame rates (up to 60fps) to the presentation.
Support for 1920x1200x50p resolution is forthcoming..
So for now, to get best quality, it's recommend to use 30fps or 60fps content, and display that supports 1920x1200x60p.
Hi
We are preparing a presentation with a resolution of 3840x1200 px. This will be displayed from two players XD233. I have a problem with the 1920x1200x60p video file, when I try to put it in a presentation, I get an error message: the video resolution is not supported.
What can I do with this problem?
Any updates? we have the same problem. We can't add 1920x1200 video to the presentation file.
Hello there. Let me just add a comment about this. Issue can be easy solved with the same content encoded with H.265. I was hoping any BrightSign authority will add this comment sooner. I do hope this will help. Thank you @Urszula for letting me know about this last week.
So we can easy add 1920x1200 video file to BrightAuthor presentation (XD233) simply need to encode it to H.265?
Video up to 1080p (1920x1080) can be H.264 or H.265 depending on the player.
Video larger than 1080p must be encoded as H.265 on a 4K-capable player (currently 4K, XD3, XT3 models)

Brandon:
Nowhere does it clearly state that the forum is "intended for user-to-user discussion", and I do not believe it ever has stated this.
In fact, it states "For discussion around the use and operation of BrightSign digital signage products." (see image below)
The forum IS part of the BrightSign Support area, so people assume (myself included) that BrightSign staff will read and respond, just not as quickly as using a support ticket. This is the way that almost every other manufacturers websites is. This is what people in the AV community have come to expect from many manufacturers. This is what a good manufacturer does to keep a good public facing presence to it's customers and users. Companies like Cisco, Ubiquiti Networks, Blackmagicdesign, etc,
For most people who post in here, they understand that it may at times take a few days instead of a few hours for a response, and that is perfectly fine. This frees up the support ticket system for people who need help quicker.
Yes, there are several users here that do help and offer free support to others when we can and have time to, but the BrightSign staff should also monitor and respond more often than they have been. It only makes the BrightSign experience better for everyone.
