HD1010 wont properly play CSV from HD2000 unit

I currently have a csv file that plays a set video in loop, and then plays a given video depending on input from a bar code scanner then returns to the video in a loop until the next time it's interrupted by the bar code scanner. This works just fine on an older HD2000 unit. However when I put the same script into the newer HD1010 unit the systems starts and plays the video in a loop, but does not respond to the same bar code scanner that I am using in the HD2000. My autorun.bas and autoplay.csv can be found http://brightsign.aimadvertising.com/support/. Any help would be appreciated.

    Your csv file just has "keyboard" keys listed. Just individual characters. Is what you're scanning just a single digit? Do you know if the autorun.bas you used with the hd2000 was customized in anyway, possibly modified to work specifically with your scanner?

    I'm scanning individual numbers in this case one of the numbers 1,2,3,4,5

    nothing complex.

    As for the autorun.bas I have not made any changes to it... but I can't say if anything has happened to it before my time.

    It is linked in my original URL.

    My Barcode scanner is a IT3800  (item #3800LX-14)

    Download this script from the website, and unzip and copy it to the flash card. This is the same autorun.brs that's in memory. Please edit it and change the debugon, and loggingon variable to true. This will create a log.txt file on the flash card. It should show us what the brightsign is seeing when you scan something in. If there's extra characters in the string, then that might be why it's not working.

    Umm you forgot the link to the script?
    (edit for update)

    However if you meant the origional autorun.bas file  found  <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://brightsign.zendesk.com/entries/314637-brightsign-downloads#">http://brightsign.zendesk.com/entries/3 ... downloads#</a><!-- m -->

    i just grabbed it and am working on it now.

    I inserted the autorun.brs file that I downloaded for the HD1010 from <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://brightsign.zendesk.com/entries/314637-brightsign-downloads#">http://brightsign.zendesk.com/entries/3 ... downloads#</a><!-- m -->

    i then edited the file and edited the following 2 lines to look like below:

       debugOn = true
       loggingOn = true

    Then loaded up the card back in the player and powered the unit.
    The unit never plays videos at this point and simply cycles itself over and over.

    A log.txt was generated.  however it had 0 bytes of data inside it.

    I also later attempted the same with a default autorun.bas file from the download area of the web site. The results were the same.

    With no autorun.brs file on the card the unit loads the default video and plays it in a loop but does not respond to the bard code scanner.
    With the autorun.brs file included the unit errors and cycles over and over.

    I've gone back and swapped out  bar code scanners (same model) and the results are the same.   Both scanners are working on the HD2000 unit and both scanners "appear" to be working on the HD1010 as they beep and scan as I would them expect to.

    I'm really at a loss here.

    Do you know if the scanner sends a carriage return when it scans?  So, with the autorun from the website, the attract video doesn't play?

    I don't know if this particular scanner sends a carriage return on scan but prior education of scanners tells me that most of them do send a carriage return.

    If this is the case what do i need to put into my csv to correct the issue?
