Using non-printable characters in BrightAuthor UDP input field?

I want to use HD1020s to replace existing players in an existing control system. The control scheme uses lots of non-ASCII hex values. Is there a way to specify for example "0x01, Hello, 0x03 " in the "Specify UDP input" field of Bright Author?

Currently, BrightAuthor accepts non printing characters over serial using the equivalent decimal values, so since these values are less than 10, it would be the same 01 and 03, but not via UDP. To do this via UDP, you would have to use a script. You can send and receive bytearrays through scripting and that allows UDP to support hex values. But, it's not currently rolled into BrightAUthor yet.

Lyndon - Has this been updated?  This question is similar to mine and it's now 8 years later... I need to send hex values to trigger UDP input events.

Brightauthor 4.7 has the option to send udp bytes like you can serial bytes, decimal values, comma separated...

Aaagh, fantastic.  I did not know that was added. I haven't looked into the Send parameters in a while....

    Thanks!
