Quiz Game - recording results for a score?

We have a client who is interested in having us develop a quiz or question an answer game for an interpretive display, and we're wondering if anyone has any ideas on how we might be able to record user data on the BrightSign to create a score at the end?  Creating a multiple-choice game with right/wrong results is simple, but what we want to do is somehow create a score at the end so if you got 8 out of 10 right, it would say "Congratulations - you got 80% of the questions right!" Something like that, a simple result at the end that gives kids feedback on what they did correct etc.

Anyone done this before, or have an idea on how it could be done with BrightAuthor? It seems simple enough, but I don't know if there's any way to tell the BrightSign what's a right answer and what's wrong, or how to parse that data into a result.

Thanks.

Mike

Attached is a sample project (created in BA3.5.0.31 for XD1230 model). There are 5 slides with correct and wrong choices. If you click "correct", it will send the zone message to the audio zone and update the value of the variable. Double click on touch event in video/images zone, click on Advanced to view the actual zone message command. Double click on zone message event in audio zone > Advanced to view the value of the variable. The last Live Text object in video/images zone shows the value of variable. You can add a variable to a project by going to File > Presentation Properties > Variable.

    Hi there,

I am trying to attempt something very similar and am also struggling with the same aspect. I am unfortunately not able to open your example file which would be of enormous help to me, I don't suppose there would be any reason for this?  I am using BA 3.7.0.37 and HD1010

Thank you very much for any help!

    Hi,

Does BrightAuthor throw error when you try to open the aforementioned project? If so, please send a screenshot of the error.

It's not so much an error, just a message saying it's unable to open the file

    I've attached the screenshot

Please unzip the example.zip file to a folder on your computer. Then launch BrightAuthor, go to File - Open Presentation and browse to the .bpf file.

Hey guys I have generated a presentation that incorporates this quiz, whilst i replicated all of the settings I could see the quiz doesn't generate a score at the end! I have attached the exported file. Any advice you can give would be awesome!

In BrightAuthor, the quiz is located to the right. True/ False answers. I tried to attach the .zip however it crashed so I have included a dropbox link =)

    Hi Daniel,

You didn't update the variable when there is a correct answer.

    Try the attached BMW.bpf

    Hi,

You need to update the variabel 'var'. So when the answer is correct the var goed from 0 to a different value.

In the attachment you'll find a file which does the for you.

    Regards,

    Hello,

I am also interested in creating an interactive quiz (project available for download). A classic quiz with multiple choice with 1 correct answer to each question. Selected via 4 GPIO buttons. I would like to record all the correct answers in order to display the score at the end of the quiz.

    Can you help me?
