BrightWall Stretch

I set up a 3x1  (1 tv high by 3 tvs wide) and they look just like they show in bright author.  but when I take a landscape video and push to them it only shows on the center screen and it is turned.  I need to rotate the video 90 degrees counter clockwise and fill to the other screens.  what am I doing wrong.

Sounds like you are going to need to rotate your content first by 90 degrees, and then bring it into BrightAuthor.

We normally do not let the players scale our content and instead, prepare three separate video files that are 1920x1080, properly scaled, trimmed to account for the displays bezel, and rotated as needed.

The new BrightAuthor should now be able to take care of the LCD bezel width, but we have not tested yet.

    Feel free to contact us

    I hope that helped

What is the resolution of your video?

Three landscape 1080p displays side-by-side results in a 5760x1080 canvas, and stretching a 1920x1080 video to fit (preserving aspect ratio) would land it only on the center display.

If you need to cover the rest of the displays you would have to change the View Mode to Scale to Fill (does not preserve aspect ratio) or Fill Screen and Centered (scale content up to fill all screen area, potentially cropping off part of the video content).

But even when I try to do a live video stream it is the same thing it only fills out the middle screen and is sideways.

I have attached a screen capture on how the screens are setup in bright author and this is exactly how the screens are in the sign.

Are your screen oriented Portrait (taller than they are wide) ?

BrightWall does not support Portrait orientation screens.

If you do a 1x10, you'll have really skinny screen tiles, or if you do a 10x1 you'll have really short/wide screen tiles.  The preview is for screen selection and numbering only  - it does not represent orientation or actual screen dimensions.

You can use a Regular BrightWall with portrait-oriented screens, but as Udi said, you must author your content "sideways."

It doesn't support Portrait screens?  This seems like a BIG limitation as 3 screen in portrait mode make up a 16x9 ratio.  in the future if you could add this that would be great.

    Thanks

I am having the same issue.  I think its crazy there is no setting in Bright Sign to tell it the monitors are in a portrait orientation.   Specially because when you create a BrightWall it shows the monitors in a portrait orientation.  Which tells me that Bright Sign knows this is how people normally orient their screens. So why doesn't it not support this out of the box.   I am using the BrightSign in a business for HR to display content on and the users that will be using it are not going to know how to rotate their content before displaying it.

Do you have a sample 1080x1920 video we can test with? I'll check and see if there's a workaround for this. You can send us a link at support @ brightsign . biz.

I supossed the scale to fill option at the BrightWall worked as at the zones, adjusting the content to the zone without taking care of the aspect ratio.

But at my landscape 2x1 BrightWall it only shows the central part of the video

    Is it the normal behaviour?

    I´m using BA 4.4.0.15 FW 6.1.76

View mode settings are described in this FAQ: http://support.brightsign.biz/hc/en-us/articles/218066397

Thank you for the info, but as I told you, using the "Scale to Fill" with the BrightWall feature, the video appears as at the "Fill Screen and Centered", it only shows the central part of the video, cropping it, not disorting it.

Maybe a bug at the last firmware? As I told you I´m using a BS HD1022, BA 4.4.0.15 & FW 6.1.76

    Thank you

Alfonso, can you submit the brightwall project and config file along with link to sample content to support for testing?

Can you also send a picture of the problem? I published the project you sent but both of my displays are filled.
