2-screen brightwall (xd233) screen 1 not playing

I have been troubleshooting my project with no progress. No matter the file or configuration, I CANNOT get screen 1 to play. I get the file looping on screen 2, with a blank screen 1.

The screens play separate files. Two XD233's linked by ethernet, and hdmi to projectors.

Whats up?

    additional info ::

all else being the same, i can get it working with 20 second clips of each channel.
But the full 21 minute files will not work together. Screen 2 plays, blank screen 1.

That could be an encoding issue with the long version of video 1.

You could try and swap the two files, and see if you are getting same result.

When you reboot without SD cards, do both screens show the text on the screens?

There could be other reasons too. Whatever you could swap, you should.

HDMI cables, SD cards, files, power supply. Yes, that last one can be tricky sometimes...

Thanks for the reply. I've swapped the files, swapped which screen/player is designated "1", same result -- screen 2 plays, screen 1 blank. So its not encoding as either file plays so long as its screen 2.

swapped cards, files, cables, turned the ethernet around haha. EVERYTHING.

Also, tried 3 different versions of the files, problem persists across them all.

But again, I stress the fact that the brightwall WORKS with any combination of the sample files.

The full-length files are ~2GB. Is the player bogging down? (Shouldn't right?)

Is screen 1 the same model as screen 2?  Same refresh rate and resolution?

    identical projectors.

Really can't for the life of me figure a good reason why this shouldn't work.

Even reached out to others who've done plenty similar setups before (art museums) and they're stumped.

Begging for a miracle over here!

Sounds like the 2 players aren't talking over the network.

Do you have just a Ethernet cable between the 2 players, or is there a network switch?

If a switch, is it a smart switch, or just a generic switch? (BrightWall doesn't like smart switches)

You should be able to go direct between the 2 players (if you are not), I have done this before and it works fine.

Opps, sorry, saw that you have it working with smaller files.

Another question, because it's not clear in your other postings.

Do you have the "Display screen layout information when presentation starts" checked, and if so, do you see the "1" and "2" on each screen before the one player starts playing the long file? Does the "1" go away and then the blank screen when number 2 starts playing?

This is really odd, because usually it just works fine.

yeah i get screen 1 and screen 2
    then screen 2 plays.
screen 1 goes blank, no text, no nothing

Are you forcing video format, or letting the player and projector negotiate the resolution and frame rate?

Are the two projectors on the same firmware version?

IDK, one last thing to try is to create a new BrightWall Project, using the long Screen 2 Video for both Screen 1 and 2 (since that video seems to play ok). If that works, then you know you have an issue with the Screen 1 video.

Nothing else I can think of that hasn't already been said or tried.
