Play 1920 X 1200 video on Hd224

Can someone please tell me if I can take a 1920 X 1200 video from a client and play it in 1920 X 1200 with a Brightsign HD224?
Source: 1920 X 1200 @60p video, encoded in H265
Output: 1920 X 1200 video on 16:10 projector.
It does not make sens to me that a player can output a certain resolution, but can not decode it!

I read this on BS Knowledge base:
To further clarify, 4K, XT3 and XD3 players can play H.265 1920x1200 video files.
XD, HD2, XD2, 4K, LS3, HD3, XD3, XT3 players can *output* 1920x1200x60p screen resolution.

Video file decoding resolution and screen output resolution are independent, so be careful not to confuse them.

So to somewhat confirm, in BrightAuthor I can do a Project with a HD224 in 1920x1200x60.

I do not have a HD224 or similar model player at this time.

    I can get a 1920x1200x60 video to play on a XT1134 (4K engine) fine in H.264 and H.265 at 1920x1200x60 out.

I could NOT get a 1920x1200x60 video to play on a LS423 (HD engine) in either H.264 or H.265 at 1920x1200x60 out (it just gives you a black screen).

So I would have to suspect that a HD224 will not play 1920x1200 videos, unfortunately.

Sorry I can not be of more help than that.

    JBR Technical,

    Thanks for your input.

Unless someone else can confirm succesfully decoding and outputting 1920 X 1200 with a HD224.

I suppect it wont work! HD224 can output the resolution, but NOT decode it! Which does not make sens to me!

Whereas Series 3 and earlier players supporting 4K/larger-than-1080p video required that it be encoded in H.265 (HEVC) format, the Series 4 players that support 4K/larger-than-1080p video can use either H.264 (AVC) or H.265 (HEVC) with some exceptions.

    See http://support.brightsign.biz/hc/en-us/articles/218065137-What-video-formats-and-codecs-do-BrightSign-players-support-

     and https://docs.brightsign.biz/display/DOC/Optimizing+Video+Quality

It's not uncommon to use non-full-screen video, or display video of a lower resolution than the output resolution.  Especially in the case of 1920x1200 output, many customers use the extra 120 pixels to display tickers or other messages without having to downsize or squash the 1920x1080 video.

So short answer is: Since they support 4K, Yes the HD224 can decode and output 1920 X 1200 videos? Correct?
