Need to display static web page

Hi

HD4 Series, HD224,firmware 8.0.6.6, BrightAuthor 4.7.2.18

We are trying to display an internal webpage on our network.  We are unable to find where to add that in as an option.  We also notice that we have no options for the HTML5 icon to add in the zones.  That icon is in many of the tutorial and screen shots.   Please advise as this is a main selling point for us.   We are able to add images and videos during our troubleshooting.

Thank you

    Hi Kevin,

For the Video/Image zone that you want to place the HTML, you can find that in the Media Library under "HTML5".  Once you drag that to the playlist (interactive or non) a prompt will ask you to define an HTML site.  Clicking "YES" on the "Do you want to define a site..." prompt will get you over to the HTML site dialog box.  Then, either set to local content or a URL starting with http://

Last, click OK and you'll see the HTML5 "widget" on the playlist.

I suggest setting it to an interactive playlist for that zone with a timeout that can refresh the content if you need it to restart at a certain point if left idle.  Also, ensure that the HTML5 is either setup to be touch or non-touch friendly -- depending on your implementation.

    Cheers,
    Monica

P.S. in the Media Library it's in the subtab of "Other" in case you didn't find it.

Ahh!!! I found that I did not create a project correctly for what I was trying to do.  My first attempt at a project and I did not notice the option for the model and I selected the incorrect one.  The second time I created a BrightWall project.   The third attempt and I selected the closest model HD223 (HD224 is not in the list) and now I am able to see it in the "Other" section.   It will not show up in at all until all the variables I posted above are selected at the "Create Project" screens.

I will continue with the project and you advice posted above.

    Thank you

That makes sense.  I'm on BrightAuthor v4.7.2.5 and that one is slightly older than your version.  The HD224 is visible if you scroll the scrollbar all the way up to the top.  It's listed in this order from top down on mine:

    • Series 4 XDs
    • Series 4 XTs
    • Series 4 HDs
    • Series 4 LS / HS

Then the Series 3 are in a sort of random order I think (either way it doesn't make sense to me):

    • Series 3 HD1023
    • Series 3 HS123
    • Series 3 HD223
    • Series 3 XDs
    • Series 3 XTs
    • Series 3 LS
    • Series 3 HO

Then we continue with the Series 2 and other Legacy products towards the bottom.  Feel free to reply with questions.

    Cheers,
    Monica
