Hallo everbody

so if nothing happens teh german clip should play in loop, but if a button is pressed the next video should be the enlgish one, after taht teh german should play in loop again. so how could i preselect the english clip while the german is still playing to the end.

I'm assuming you're  using brightauthor, but that might be mistaken. I don't know what you mean by preselect. But, you can easily setup a presentation where one video loop until a button is pressed, and then that video loops again after the selected video finishes playing. What do you mean by button? gpio button? serial? usb? or is the button onscreen so touch?

The beginning of this video shows you how to add a video that will loop, and then add a second video triggered by gpio. It also goes on to do pause and resume. There's no audio in the video. It's based on brightauthor, but not the beta brightauthor : connected.

If this isn't what you're trying to do, please provide more details.

thanks for the video, but what i mean is:

    clip1 is playing in loop.

than an gpio event (Buttonpress) or Touchinput came in. whith this input clip2 should start playing, but not immediately, clip2 should start after clip1 has reached his end.

Create a User Variable and call it "PlayEnglish". The variable would then hold two values: Yes, or No.

By default the variable value would be No.

You would then set Conditional Targets in the Media End Event at the bottom of the German loop.

When the GPIO is triggered, set the variable to Yes.

When the english clip starts to play, set the variable to No.

There might be a few more details that you would need to tweak, but that should work.

    Good Luck

Can you provide a download link to the presentation that you currently have?

I'll modify it, and post back to you.

Solution is based on the value of user variable PlayEnglish, which defaults to "no" upon startup.

Every time deutsch starts, the variable is reset to its default value "no".

GPIO event remains on deutsch video, letting it play without interruption

GPIO Event sets variable to yes, in preparation to play englisch

Normally, when deutsch ends, it transitions to itself and loops

If PlayEnglish is set to "yes" by a GPIO press, the media end transitions to the englisch video, as a result of the Conditional Target

When englisch is done, the transition is back to deutsch, and upon entry, PlayEnglish is reset to "no", so deutsch loops, until GPIO is triggered again.

This wasn't tested, so hopefully I didn't miss anything.
