RC1001 remote / HD1024

I've been trying for 2 hours now to get a RC1001 work with a HD1024.
I'm using a jack3,5 IR receiver, directly plugged in the HD1024 IR jack port.

Tried to do a basic project on Brightauthor, using the Remote Input Event and the standard commands found on BrightSign FAQ : west, east, north, south, etc...
It's not working.

I searched and found this plugin to view received IR commands from the remote.

The plugin is correctly displayed on screen, but no command are received.

The RC1001 is working, i can see the led flashing on with my phone camera.

Does anyone have an idea..? Am i doing something wrong ?

Firmware 8.0.141

Looks like you are doing things the right way, but am not sure about the IR receiver that you are working with.

The documentation is not specifying any recommended IR receiver, but Iguana Works is known to be supported, with their USB adapter. Hopefully their 3.5mm receiver is also supported...

Here is a kit that bundles the remote with a receiver.

BrightSign support might be able to provide specific recommendation.

I bought the remote bundled with the IR receiver. It came from a big french supplier.

The supplier might be able to provide support.

Also, after looking at the plugin mentioned, it looks like it dispatches Zone Messages to the presentation, carrying payloads such as "EAST", "WEST", etc...

Have you tried the example presentation that's in the zip?

If it doesn't work, then I would focus on the receiver compatibility.

While using the plugin, you could connect to the player over ssh, and look for debug messages bing sent out, as IR events are detected.

Yes i tried the plugin with the example presentation.

I logged in via ssh. I can see the plugin initialization and then... nothing. It don't seem to receive any IR command.

So I guess the receiver or the telecomand have a problem.

    I will contact the supplier.

    Thanks for your help. :)
