Send zone message with 2 players

Hi,
I have a question. Is it possible to play a video over a touch event that is shown on another Brightsign player?
I would like to have a touchscreen and show the selected content on a projector.
Has anyone any experience with this?

Greetings

    Hello Marko,

We do this often.  Typically our setup is networked, either both on WIFI or both on a LAN.  If you do not have them on a network, you can create your own local standalone with a WIFI router that has at least two open LAN ports (or WIFI if you're using that).*

Once everything is on the same network, setup your presentation to use UDP commands to send (from the touchscreen BrightSign or program) to the projector BrightSign.  On both presentations ensure that your UDP settings are using the same setting.

Edit > Presentation Properties > Interactive Tab > UDP section.

If you're on a standalone network, tick the "All devices on the subnet" radio button and keep the default ports.  If you are planning on doing any other advanced networking and UDP, then the other options would apply.

On your touchscreen presentation, add an advanced command to the touch event to send a UDP command, you can name it whatever you like depending on which video, etc.  (ex. Play Video 1, Play Video 2...).

On the projector presentation, add a listener UDP command to "listen" for whatever command you desire and link it to the state you want to play (Video 1, Video 2...).

Hope that helps steer you in a good direction.

    Cheers,
    Monica

*Edit - you may need to adjust your BrightSign setup Networking parameter depending on how you have it setup.
